H2Hub Wallonia

Hydrogen is playing an increasingly major role in the global energy transition.

It has appeared crucial for policy makers, industry stakeholders, researchers and TWEED Cluster to increase :
•    collaboration;
•    cross-sector dialogue ;
•    and knowledge-share

That way, H2Hub Wallonia was created as a club to become the reference in Wallonia to offer a global vision on H2 initiatives in Wallonia for Belgium & abroad! to ensure the rapid scale-up and delivery of a global hydrogen economy.

H2Hub Wallonia is empowered by TWEED and will give access to:

  • Cartography : value chain, roadmap, ...
  • Projects : follow-up existing projects, call for proposal, investment
  • Opportunity on an international level
  • technology-innovation-market watch
  • Networking meeting (information sessions, working groups, B2B sessions, seminars, webinars or mission abroad)

TWEED is part of the EMRH2 Booster Project

H2 Booster

What is EMRH2 Booster?
A consortium of nine partners is joining forces to boost the development of clean hydrogen innovation, demonstration and knowledge sharing in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine, as a first step towards the large-scale roll-out of a clean hydrogen economy.

The project partners are Stadt Aachen, LIOF, POM Limburg, Cluster TWEED, SPI, IHK Aachen, Universiteit Hasselt, Waterstof Coalitie Limburg and WaterstofNet who coordinates the project. Regio Parkstad is an associated partner.

The working area of the EMR H2 Booster consortium consists of Dutch and Flemish Limburg, the Aachen region and Liège. The project will run for 18 months until June 2023.

The role of TWEED is Project Partner and responsible for WP4 : setting up a cross-border euregional hydrogen network.

The project receives funding from the Interreg Euregio Meuse-Rhine (EMR) program. This program receives support from the European Regional Development Fund or ERDF.
EMR H2 Booster also receives co-financing from the Dutch province of Limburg, the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant, the Dutch ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, the Walloon government,
Wallonia and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, and the German state government of North Rhine-Westphalia.
