General presentation

Buildings are responsible for 40% of the energy consumption in industrialized countries. This is consequently a crucial sector requiring innovative developments in order to reduce this environmental impact. Research activities are necessary both at building design and operation levels and have to target a better integration of renewables.

BEMS team brings together researchers involved in projects relating to both the Rational Use of Energy, particularly in the building sector, and development of Renewable Energies. Specifically, activities in the field of solar energy based on specific facilities and do a heavy emphasis on measurement devices and simulation techniques.
