Graduated in law, she quickly ventured into entrepreneurship to become CEO of an SME where she successfully led a wide range of projects related to 3D technology. She later acquired expertise in the field of circular economy and deepened her experience in plastics within the European Federation FEAD. Today, due to her attachment to Wallonia and her knowledge of public and European administrations, she shares her experience and skills with Plastiwin members.

After more than 32 years serving a multinational company in the petrochemical industry, where he held various positions related to commodity and specialty plastics, Diego took over a Walloon SME active in plastic processing. After managing this company for 3 years, during which he modernized and relocated it, he sold it.

The combination of these experiences allowed him to gain knowledge of the plastics market at both the raw material and finished product levels. Moreover, his fieldwork enabled him to fully understand the challenges faced by Walloon SMEs active in plastic processing.

With a background as a Biochemical Engineer and a Doctorate in Genetics, she worked in academic research as a project leader for over fourteen years. Subsequently, in a professional reconversion, she joined a small SME in the social and solidarity economy specialized in reconditioning and reusing products. Her interest turned towards the circular economy, leading her to undertake training in this field.

Thierry Cartage

COORDINATOR OF THE CHIMERIC PROJECT FOR THE PLASTIC/RUBBER SECTOR

With more than 35 years at Solvay, Thierry is an expert in plastics and chemistry, who notably digitalized over 20 plants! Leveraging his experience, Thierry coordinates for Plastiwin the Chimérique project, which aims to digitalize the Walloon territories of the plastics and rubber sector. Chimérique is a project launched as part of the "Industry of the Future 2021" call for projects initiated by the Digital Agency, aiming to support the digital transition of companies.
