EWATTCH: SOFTWARE THAT “TRACKS” THE KEY PERFORMANCES OF YOUR PRODUCTION TOOLS
Last year, Ewattch already offered monitoring solutions for injection presses fitted with sensors fitted to each machine. Performance indicators could be viewed remotely via the cloud. Today, all sectors are concerned.
This year, Ewattch has moreover optimized its tools even further thanks to the integration of a software application called ProdTracker which allows real-time monitoring of production. In particular, it incorporates the history of interventions on the machine and the calculation of the synthetic rate of return (TRS), an indicator intended to monitor the rate of use of machines: machines stopped, in production, in error or even in preheating. or in maintenance.
To supply the ERP with useful data, the software further refines the results: the first version made it possible to determine that the production orders had experienced errors. The new version makes it possible to go further on the causes of these errors.
The tool also supervises the management of production data (cycle time, production remaining to be produced, number of parts produced, etc.), the analysis of energy consumption, temperature and humidity of the plant.
The data collected in the field can be viewed remotely on a smartphone via an augmented reality application, thanks to a QR code installed on the machines. A solution that proved particularly useful during the pandemic: it made it possible to continue production and its control with a minimum number of people present in the factory.
A free demo cloud platform has been developed. Interested? Contact the company at info@ewattch.be.
REPROCOVER / ETS SIMONIS S.A .: A NEW MATERIAL CREATED FROM THE UPGRADING OF THERMOSET PLASTICS
Reprocover is an innovative SME specializing in the recycling and upgrading of thermosetting plastics, in order to develop finished products for rail infrastructure, roads and urban development.
Thanks to an innovative patented process developed in collaboration with various research centers, the company reduces the waste collected to the state of granules and then manages, via a very high pressure compaction process, to make it into a new material: the “Reprocessed ThermoSet / Thermosetting Revalorized” (RTS).
During 4 years - and with the injection of 8 million euros in the project - a machine was developed, allowing the mixture of thermosetting aggregates with a binder. One year later, at the end of 2017, Reprocover completed the development of the process, automated it and developed its new patented material.
With this new material, Reprocover creates, in particular, finished products for the railway sector, such as cable gutters and their covers, level crossings, inspection chambers, etc. It also produces products for the railway sector. roads, with protection from fire hydrants and key hydrants, but also in urban development with garbage cans, flower pots, etc.
Lighter, these products are just as strong as the others, while offering a flexural strength 20% higher than its concrete counterpart. Non-slip and draining, they allow water to flow easily and not to stagnate on the surface. They are also resistant to UV, fire, high heat and electricity. Solutions adapted to all types of terrain / situations (near roads, railways, etc.) which, in addition to their remarkable and proven mechanical properties, promote the establishment of a sustainable circular economy.
The RTS thus makes it possible to considerably reduce installation and maintenance costs, which allows a directly positive return on investment.
VINVENTIONS: THE FIRST MICRO-NATURAL STOPPER WITHOUT GLUE OR ... STOPPER TASTE
After 5 years of research, Vinventions SA has just launched the SÜBR cap on the market, a pure product of responsible innovation, a key strategy nested at the heart of the company's R&D.
SÜBR's promises live up to the group's ambitions: visually attractive, this new micro-natural stopper, made of cork granules, is produced without glue. The latter is replaced by a natural and innovative binder.
The result of a patented extrusion process, this binder is 100% recyclable, biodegradable, already contains 40% bio-based materials and respects the aging potential of the wine.
Marketed in the course of 2019, SÜBR is a solution that respects the intention of winegrowers and the organoleptic qualities of their wines.
