CELABOR

Made up of a multidisciplinary scientific team, the research center approved by the Walloon region CELABOR, provides companies with its help, expertise and skills in the fields of agrifood, extraction, the environment, materials (packaging, paper-cardboard and textiles) in order to promote technological innovation. CELABOR specializes in characterization (films and plastic trays, etc.) for the packaging sector, especially food. For this, Celabor has forged a solid expertise in migration [food contact] and in the evaluation of mechanical properties and barriers. It is a national, European and international clientele who use the sharp technical skills of the Center.

Products and services

CELABOR offers its services in the characterization of the main properties of food packaging (barrier properties (oxygen, water vapor, CO2), migration properties (food contact) and mechanical (traction, weld strength, adhesion, etc.) CELABOR also offers its expertise to manufacturers in the search for green alternatives to current packaging.Its strength comes from its complementarity between its Materials and Agri-food departments, which makes it possible to quickly identify packaging offering adequate conservation of food. Finally, Celabor also has various activities in the research and development of innovative bio-based materials for applications, packaging, textiles, cosmetics, etc.
