WSL
Specialising in engineering science projects, WSL supports techno-entrepreneurs throughout their project, from launch to growth phase, maximising their chances of success through a range of programmes including the StarTech programme, which gives students an insight into entrepreneurship.
WSL's core business is to accompany techno-entrepreneurs throughout their project, from the launch of their company to its growth phase, maximizing their chances of success by providing them with trustworthy and close follow-up for up to five years.
The support begins with an evaluation of the project (or the start-up under five years old), carried out by WSL (at its own expense) in four well-defined areas: intellectual property, market, technology and team quality. This diagnosis, positioned in MatMaX®, gives a global vision of the project's maturity and highlights the strategic axes to be developed and reinforced.
If the diagnosis is positive, and if WSL's added value is certain, the project is then presented to the selection committee, made up of members of the WSL Board of Directors and partners (local investors, experts, etc.).
The proposed decisions are then submitted to the Board of Directors for approval. The WSL Board of Directors is composed of representatives of Wallonia and, for the most part, of representatives of the industrial world via the clusters, as well as of universities and research centers.
