Promotion at an international scale is one of the pillars of our cluster. As you probably know, last March, we had the opportunity to take part in an economic mission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where we discovered the Saudi know-how when it comes to horses.

This time, we were the ones hosting a delegation of equestrian stakeholders willing to learn more about what Wallonia can bring to the equestrian world!  In that context, we were happy to show them the best we have to offer when it comes to sport, research, breeding, technology, real estate and many more.

Day 1/3

For our first day together, we went to Ecuries d'Ecaussinnes where we organized a B2B meeting between the companies of the cluster and their Saudi counterparts. This encounter was full of rich exchanges all related to our passion : horses.

Day 2/3

The next day, our Saudi guests had a lot on their agenda ! Indeed, we showed them no less than three companies of the cluster: Mont-le-Soie, Centre Européen du Cheval, Gestüt Sonnenhof and Horse Inn by Liege Airport. More than enough to discover the Walloon know-how in fields such as research, reproduction, breeding, sport and transport!

Day 3/3

To conclude this weekend full of discoveries in Wallonia, the Saudi delegation discovered the veterinary clinic of the University of Liege. They were fully immersed in the world of top-notch care provided to equine animals.

Conclusion

After these 3 days of visits, the outcome is clear: Wallonia can be proud of its skills when it comes to horses and of the companies of the sector which, day after day, are the ambassadors of this exceptional know-how!

The cluster wants to thank the companies which were involved in this weekend, the delegates who literally came from across the world to meet us as well as all of the stakeholders which made this event possible. We are looking forward to deepening our connections with our Saudi counterparts.
