The VinylPlus® Product label is recognized as a label for sustainable purchases in Belgium, meeting the 5 criteria of article 43 (1) of EU Directive 2014/24 on public procurement. "To obtain the VinylPlus Product Label, PVC products must meet a set of criteria, which assess the organization and performance of the company, as well as the durability of the components of its products. Obtaining the Label is a game-changer for companies. Sustainable PVC products! " - Stefan Eingärtner, Technical Director VinylPlus
The VinylPlus® product label will be promoted to public buyers in the Belgian Guide to Sustainable Purchasing alongside well-established sustainability labels, such as FSC, PEFC, Cradle to Cradle, Der Blaue Engel or The Nordic Swan. This recognition in Belgium comes after the integration of the Label into the Duurzaam Schrijnwerk / Menuiserie Durable label of the Belgian Construction Certification Association, which will be officially launched by Belgian joinery manufacturers in autumn 2020.
To date, the VinylPlus® product label is proudly owned by 10 companies, partners of VinylPlus®: Deceuninck (member of Plastiwin), Epwin Window System, Finstral, Gealan, Internorm, Rehau, Salamander, Schüco, VEKA and Verseidag.
The Label makes it easier for your customers to identify the most durable and efficient products for the building and construction sectors.
"The VinylPlus® Product Label is an acknowledgement for our commitment to responsible entrepreneurship, where ecology is one of the driving factors. The Product Label offers evidence to our stakeholders that our products are produced according to the highest sustainability standards but also confirms PVC as a sustainable and future-proof material for the building and construction industry.
