World Energy Outlook 2017 | Bruxelles - 01 février 2018 (AM)

Each year, the IEA's flagship WEO publication, which is recognized as the authoritative source of strategic analysis of global energy markets, provides prospects for all energy sources, regions and sectors to 2040. Based on various scenarios, including one that incorporated the results of Paris COP 21 negotiations, the WEO provides insights which can help policymakers, industry and other stakeholders find their way in a fast-changing energy world.

Furthermore, the WEO 2017 specifically focuses China, which examines how China's choices could reshape the global outlook for all fuels and technologies. A second focus, on natural gas, explores how the rise of shale gas and LNG are changing the global gas market as well as the opportunities and risks for gas in the transition to a cleaner energy system.
